I was raised in Rochester, NY. Growing up, I was an athlete and thought I was going to make a career of it. I played basketball and baseball for 12 years and was a varsity cross country and track runner, but I always felt something was missing. As I got older, I fell more in love with music and theater.
As a sophomore, I joined the Show Choir and by senior year, I was appointed as the male dance captain. I performed in every musical during my four years in high school. It wasn't until my junior year, however, when I landed a supporting role in Beauty and the Beast, that I realized I really wanted to be a performer for the rest of my life. I changed over from playing sports to taking dance classes and voice lessons, as well as performing with a theatre troupe. I auditioned to be a Musical Theatre Major for college and was accepted. I was cast in each semester's production, and had the opportunity to perform several lead roles, including some of my dream roles.
One of the most intimidating programs at my college was Page-to-Stage. We would put up a Sondheim show in a one week, intensive rehearsal period. While it was a difficult process, it was immensely rewarding and beneficial, and was an instrumental tool in teaching me a valuable work ethic, technique, pacing, and quick memorization skills.
While still in college, I was given the opportunity to work in professional theatre on two separate occasions. I was first cast through the Geva Theatre Center as an acting intern where I was able to hone my Shakespearean actor chops alongside many members of Actor's Equity Association. They inspired me to become an EMC candidate. I also performed as the Big Bad Wolf and a Duloc Dancer in Shrek the Musical with Rochester Children's Theatre. It was wonderful getting to introduce kids to theatre and seeing their excitement and love for the arts grow.
While still in the final months of my senior year, and right before I officially graduated, I booked my first post-college job, and soon found myself in Lancaster, PA performing my first paid professional theatre gig.
I also had the opportunity to work on my film chops. I've appeared in multiple short horror films, as well as a medical project about dealing with schizophrenia, and have been an extra on tv shows and films.
I've been fortunate enough to have consistent work over the years, allowing me the opportunity to travel all over the world. From performing right here in NYC in off-broadway shows and at the world famous Ellen's Stardust Diner, to regionally, to internationally, I look forward to what is next to come. And I'm excited to get to do this work alongside my new representation, Eris Talent Agency.
